How to Play Imposketch
A drawing party game where everyone gets the same prompt—except one person didn't.
1. Create or Join
One player creates a room and shares the code. Everyone joins using the same code. You can play on any device—phones, tablets, or laptops.
2. Get Your Secret Assignment
The game picks a prompt (like "a cat wearing a hat"). Everyone draws it—except the impostor, who gets a different prompt (like "a dog wearing a hat"). Only you know your prompt.
3. Draw (30 seconds)
Everyone has 30 seconds to draw. The impostor has to fake it—draw something close enough to blend in, even though it's not what they were really given.
4. Reveal the Round
All drawings show up together. Compare them closely—one of these drawings is the lie.
5. Vote (20 seconds)
Everyone votes on which drawing they think belongs to the impostor. Discuss if you want, or just trust your gut.
6. See Who Got It Right
The impostor is revealed. Players who guessed correctly get points. The impostor gets points if they weren't caught. After a few rounds, the player with the most points wins.
Tips for Success
- As the impostor: Study the revealed prompt after. Notice what's different from your drawing.
- As a guesser: Look for the odd one out. Slight style differences, unusual details, or just a feeling.
- For best results: Play with 4-6 players. Fewer than 4 is too easy, more than 6 gets noisy.
- Have fun bluffing: The game is about reading people, not drawing skills.
